Tram Maintenance Assistant (Concept Demo)
A self-built concept demo exploring how AI search and retrieval could support maintenance teams with faster access to procedures, fault codes and safety instructions. Built to showcase capability, not commissioned by a transport operator.
Challenge
- Maintenance knowledge is often spread across manuals, schedules and internal procedures, making fast retrieval difficult in day-to-day work.
- The interface needed to feel practical for technicians rather than overly complex.
Approach
- I shaped the experience around focused maintenance queries, fault support and safety context.
- I used a clean UI and retrieval-first framing to augment technical operations without replacing existing processes.
Outcomes
- A working demo that shows how a domain-specific assistant could help teams retrieve maintenance knowledge quickly — useful as proof of what I can build for a real client project.
